In addition to being an active performer, Ben is an experienced teacher. He maintains a private studio and serves on the faculty of the 92nd Street Y as a bass, guitar, and piano instructor. He has given clinics at Portland State University, Jane Addams Middle School, Shorewood High School, and Juanita High School, among others. As an educator, he eschews old-school cookie-cutter methods, and strives to cater to each individual’s unique needs and proclivities. He has been lauded for his focused, yet patient approach to teaching.
