In addition to being an active performer, Ben is an experienced teacher. His current private studio includes over 20 students, and he has given clinics at Portland State University, Jane Addams Middle School, Shorewood High School, and Juanita High School, among others. As an educator, he eschews old-school cookie-cutter methods, and strives to cater to each individual’s unique needs and proclivities. He has been lauded for his focused, yet patient approach to teaching.
